Home Stretch

Today is Sunday.  My last Sunday in grad school.  Over the last 11 months, I've spent countless Sundays doing homework/studying/writing, and what better way to spend my last one, but to do the same thing.  Bleh.  The only things between me and walking across that stage are a business plan, an IT paper and a Finance final.  The only things between me and finishing my work are the ridiculously addicting, silly TV shows available on On Demand.

Exhibit 1: Jersey Couture.

So after wedding dress shopping, watching Say Yes to the Dress and now Jersey Couture, my new life plan involves opening a fancy frilly dress shop!! It looks like a crazy amount of work, but it's so neat to see girls' faces when they find 'the dress' for whatever occasion.

Exhibit 2: My Fair Wedding

David Tutera goes to a bride's house three weeks before the wedding and totally changes things, not leaving the final say to the bride.  I would have an extremely difficult time doing this, but when he's making decisions where money is no option, I guess I'd be more apt to trust him.  As I'm more obsessed with wedding now, than ever, any wedding-related show will also serve to distract me. ;)

However, I did stay after school very verrrry very late on Friday to work on the biz plan.  Paige, Nik and I did not leave school until 11:00 pm.  Granted, we ordered pizza for dinner, I learned to write my name in Arabic and Hindi, and we found additional distractions, but we really did make progress.  I feel like I don't have much to show for it, but thats because most of the time was spent researching.
We were walking downtown to the bus stop from school when everybody else was dressed for a night on the town.  We caught the 11:25 bus home:
Most people on this bus are coming from dinner, or the bar, and in great spirits.  We had our backpacks, water bottles and were brain dead.

I spent Saturday morning working on things, but Mike so graciously wanted to have a little "going away bar-b-que" for me.  He and Jenny got the food, the keg and were great hosts.  It was just a little thing, and we didn't get crazy because in the back of my mind was the looming business plan and slideshow.  I had a fabulous, relaxing night, though!

These are some of the best friends a girl could ask for! I'm so sad to leave them!!
Future MBA graduates :)
The fantastic host, cook, softball coach, and friend!

Indubitably, the next week will be a whirlwind! Today: work on business plan and start on class slideshow.  Monday: hopefully finish the business plan and/or the IT paper; definitely watch the Bachelorette with Paige and Pat.  Tuesday: definitely finish the paper that is due, pick up Eric, softball game.  Wednesday: parents arrive, study for final, dinner reservations. Thursday: FINAL FINAL, drink drink, family arrives, drink drink.  Friday: GRADUATE!!
