New Chapters in Life

As one chapter in life comes to an end, inevitably, another begins.  I am currently finishing my MBA and getting ready to move back to Texas (after a wonderful 2 1/2 years in Colorado).  Texas.  There really is no place like it.  Yes, the Rocky Mountains are beautiful; yes, I LOVE snowboarding, and know I can't do that in Texas; yes, the weather changes from less hot to more hot to most hot; and YES, that is home.  I am really excited to see what Texas has in store for me this time around.

I am moving back to look for a job, plan our wedding, hang out with family, reconnect with friends, and love life.  Eric and I will FINALLY live in the same city once again.  The last time we lived in the same city (when we could really take advantage of it) was Eric's last semester before graduation: Fall 2006.  Crazy how time flies.  Now, four and a half years after our first date, we are ready to take the next step in our relationship and in life.

Here we are at Chase & Shelby's wedding (which, by the way, was fabulous, beautiful and fun!) a couple weeks ago. 

In a short 352 days, WE will by tying the knot.  

So why am I starting a blog?  A few reasons: to document this exhilarating time in our lives; because I am a nerd, used to keep a journal when I was younger, and this is my grown-up version; to keep me busy; for people to keep up with us (there may be 2 or 3 out there); to vent; and simply, to write (again, a nerd who likes to write).  Blogging is the cool thing to do, anyway.
