Blogging

As with any new gadget/program/app I discover, I'm liking the whole blogging thing so far.  Having owned a blog for so incredibly long (I haven't even hit 24 hours), I have quite the solid foundation to speak from.  I think I've changed my template 62 times already, but have finally found one that will probably last for at least a week.  If nothing else, playing around on here definitely gives me a way to evade homework (as if the likes of facebook/gchat/hulu/tv/anything other than homework aren't enough), bypass working out, and avoid cleaning.

As I was eating dinner tonight, I went to my trusty pal, On Demand.  Since I am a poor college kid that cannot afford a higher cable bill, it is the closest thing I get to DVR.  I ventured to shows about my current favorite topic: weddings! and embarked on a quick 22 minute episode of Platinum Weddings.  Why do I do that to myself?? It is completely masochistic.  The wedding today was "Leather Meets Lace," had the hot pink & black color theme we are having, and a $250,000 budget.  WOAH.

Here is their flower petal-polka dot aisle.  Seriously, this bride is walking on, walking on, SMASHING, KILLING more flowers in her 15 second walk down the aisle than most people have in their wedding.

This is the lucky bride.  Well, at least I will have one thing on our special day that she doesn't: Real Eyebrows.  (knock on wood)

She did wear $1,000 blue Manolo Blahnik designer shoes, as seen on the SATC movie.  So maybe the eyebrow thing isn't a big win.  Funny side note: I looked up their wedding on the Platinum Wedding TV show website to get these pictures.  They spelled the designer's name wrong! THEN when I went to the Manolo Blahnik website to get a picture of the shoes:
I see that they are for sale for a measly amount of 540 Euro, or about $685.  Liars.  They don't even look comfortable.
Ok, so any way you slice it, they had an amaaaaaazing wedding.
Congrats Ashleigh & Kristopher.

I've already overindulged in blogging too much today (seeing as my first post was made on the same calendar day), and I do have a paper due tonight at midnight.  Maybe I should get started on that...
